Artificial Intelligence and Learning Systems Laboratory
The Artificial Intelligence and Learning Systems Laboratory (AILS Lab) is one of the main research units of the ECE NTUA, directed by Professor Giorgos Stamou. AILS Lab has been established as the union of two major ECE Laboratories, the Image, Video and Multimedia Laboratory (IVML) and the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISLab), pioneering from 1989 in areas like neural networks, multimedia content analysis, human interaction, fuzzy logics, ontological knowledge representation and reasoning. AILS Lab has a significant presence in leading conference in the field of AI and Machine learning, such as IJCAI, ACL, EMNLP and others.
Biomedical Engineering Laboratory
The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (BEL) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was created in 1990 and since 2001 it has been an institutionalized laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The mission of the Laboratory is to serve educational and research needs in the fields of Biomedical Technology and applications related to the relevant technologies.
Biomedical Simulations and Imaging Laboratory
The Biomedical Simulations and Imaging (BIOSIM) Laboratory was founded in 1999 and is part of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) and the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The Laboratory is involved in research, mainly in the following areas: Diabetes & Obesity Management, Cardiovascular Diseases, Mobile Health, Computational & Congnitive Neuroscience, Smart Health Systems.
Intelligent Robotics and Automation Laboratory
The Intelligent Robotics and Automation Laboratory (IRAL) was established in 1985. Its mission is to advance and sustain research and to support teaching in the broad fields of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Signal & Information Processing, Machine Learning, Control and Automation, Perception and Cognitive Systems. Basic and applied research is conducted in both theoretical and application problems.
